Only 7 weeks...

Graduation is around the corner and while I'm still excited to graduate, summer is making me a little bit concerned. I'll officially graduate on May 9th and I'm set with a job in the valley that I'm really looking forward to. My only concern is that they pushed back our start dates to the beginning of November. I was already planning on about 3-4 months off and I've had some money put away for that but adding another 2-3 months to it will change things a lot! My plan had been to study and take the CPA exam over the summer which has some pricey fees of its own. The problem now is that I won't have the money to survive AND take the CPA exam without a job. Sooo.... now I've been considering ideas for the summer. My sister has come up with a couple of ideas that just might work but we'll have to see what happens. I also applied for a seasonal position at a resort in Olympic Nat'l Park in Washington. I haven't heard back from them though so I'm not holding my breath.

I'm still hoping to spend most of the summer with my sister in Colorado AND I'm going to make it a point (if I get the cash) to go play on the Alpine Slide at
Durango Mountain Resort (a.k.a. Purgatory). I went a couple years ago and had a blast! If you've never been on an alpine slide before, you should do it! You ride the lift to the top of the mountain and then ride this little sleds (with brakes) all the way down the mountain and it's incredible.
Well... until I know better I'm just going to look forward to the fun things and live by faith, knowing it'll work out one way or another!!

I've heard of the Alpine slide. That looks like so much fun! Hope you get to go and I hope everything works out with your job. I'm sure it will. Congratulations on finishing school.

I hope it all works out for you. We need to plan when we will go to Wicked in July. We will be in CO for 4th of July so maybe we could all meet up somewhere. Anyways, you should be very happy and proud of yourself, you are about to graduate! It has been a long road! I want to take your pics beforehand so let me know when we are going to do that!
