So this last Monday was such a great day for me. As some of you know, it's been a long summer for me for a few reasons. This last Monday, I took some time to 'get away' kind of. It was rainy and overcast (which I love) and I felt like getting out of the house so I went to Durango and had breakfast/lunch with a new friend and then went to the park (the sun was starting to peek out from behind the clouds) and read my Bible for awhile. I had planned to read for about an hour but by the time I looked at the clock, it had already been an hour and a half. It was so nice. I haven't done something like that (or read my Bible) in a long time.
I went straight to Romans. That is, hands down, my favorite book in the Bible. I have lots of highlighting and notes and all that. It makes me think, smile, and/or cry every time. This time was no different! I really enjoyed it and hopefully I'll get a chance to do something like that again soon. There is so much that moves me in Romans and it seems like I almost find something that I really needed to be reminded of when I go through it. Monday was one of those days where the book opens to a certain page (or the wind blew me to it really...) and it was just the perfect thing for me to read that day.
After that, I was lucky enough to get treated to lunch and a glass of wine by another friend and then I drove to Pagosa just to look around and see what I found. I had hoped to get some good pictures but the moment just never presented itself. I did see a doe and a flock of geese that had landed in a field. It was very peaceful and refreshing (especially for a Monday).

That sounds like a good day!
I love this post. Very heart felt. Beautiful.
Good luck with your move and new job and living in the valley, oh and that "friend". :)
