Already??

It's almost time for me to go back to Arizona. Time has flown by this summer and even if it means not having much of a voice for close to two months now, I have loved being in Colorado. And while I had planned to do much more of the CPA exam this summer, I'm pretty happy with the fact that I put it off to do while I'm working for various reasons. I'm still studying now but I won't be taking my first section until close to the end of November. Of course when I'm pulling my hair out trying to work 70 hours a week and study at the same time... everyone will need to remind me of how happy I was to put the studying off!

I've even been doing some waitressing this summer which is new for me. I started doing bookkeeping and hostessing for this restaurant (Francisco's) and then eventually learned to waitress too (the money is much better there!). Now I'm wishing I had starting serving years ago because I REALLY enjoy it. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that I'll be working so much... part of me would be tempted to find a part time serving job to do along with my regular job. BUT I'm not totally crazy so I won't be doing that. :) The restaurant is one of the oldest establishments in Durango and is still owned and operated by the same family (41 years this year).

I've made a lot of new friends up here and had a great time checking out the area with friends and one guy in particular. We have found many little roads and trails back into the wilderness, along creeks and on mountain tops and shared several bottles of wine in these beautiful places. We're just enjoying each others company as friends while I'm here.

Now I have to decide when I'm actually going to leave for Arizona. At my brother's wedding a couple weeks ago, we moved everything into the new apartment and I have rooms full of boxes waiting for me in Arizona and I'm so NOT looking forward to dealing with unpacking all of them. Anyone know the number for some little elves that will do it all for me? I like the new apartment but getting through everything is going to be a challenge. So, I need to get to Phx to unpack everything and get ready to start my new job in the professional world. Oh yeah and I need to be ready to leave for Orlando for a week of training the week after I start work and of course shortly after that I'll be going straight into busy season! Bring on the long hours baby! :P
